Fortnite Seasons Recap: Top 5 Most Popular Spots Among Players
Every season there is a new set of map changes and updates both big and small. It's been two weeks since the release of Season 8. A jungle area now covers the northeastern portion on the map, and quite a few named locations have drastically changed. So which spot was your favorite in previous seasons? We have an overview of the top 5 most popular spots among players.
Top 1 - Wailing Woods
Wailing Woods was an area on the Battle Royale map located at the north of Lonely Lodge and east of Tomato Temple. The Volcano now replaces it in Season 8. A number of players say they have a deep nostalgia for Wailing Woods.
"Wailing Woods is one of the best spots because of the Mats you can get there. Unlimited Wood, Unlimited Brick( The rock pit in between Wailing and Tomato), and decent steel in the underground portal."
Top 2 - Greasy Grove
Greasy Grove is used to be a residential neighborhood with a Durrr Burger restaurant, gas station and outdoor store. At the start of Season 7, Greasy Grove was flooded by the waterfall in Viking Village and then frozen by the iceberg.
"Do you guys think Greasy Grove will come back? Greasy Grove was my favorite spot to drop. I know it's still there, and while it's fun sliding around, it's not the same. I'm really hoping once the snow melts we'll get our beloved Greasy back, and in the same state it was before season 7, but I'm not too sure."
Top 3 - Tomato Temple
Tomato Temple is an area located at the north of Dusty Divot and west of the Volcano. It incorporates a beneath ground ruin like section, and an above ground temple section. With the release of Season 8, Tomato Temple has now become an unnamed POI.
"Tomato Temple! Nice loot, great rotations and no hills around, so you don't need to worry about people shooting from above!"
Top 4 - The Motel
The motel was located the northeast of Pleasant Park and west of Lazy Links. It can be a rundown motel with an empty pool, a little shack, destroyed homes and an overturned truck. The motel now has been removed from the map plus the Block has now replaced it.
"Strongly prefer Motel since it usually has the perfect loot amount for two people, plus rifts to get to the next spot quickly since you don't usually run into other people up there."
Top 5 - lonely lodge
Lonely Lodge is the most eastern named location on the map. It is a sole lodge inside a forested area with flowing water, steep canyons, woodsheds and also a high watchtower which can be the tallest structure constructed out of destroyable material.
"I've always liked lonely lodge and haunted hills — isolated places with a surprising amount of loot. I seem to hate every newer location though. I never liked risky reels/the block, and I HATE paradise palms and lazy links."
